One step closer to that big green light
Yes I know this blog has no real direction. Give me time, I'm trying to find what direction it should take!
TORONTO (Reuters) - Workers at General Motors (GM.N) of Canada Ltd. assembly plants in Oshawa, Ontario, will likely vote in favor of job cuts on Friday in hopes of securing new investment, including the contract to build GM's new Chevrolet Camaro, union officials said.
I can't wait. Even with my financial troubles, I have been setting back money for this car ever since it saw it's demise in 2002. I've been the prophet; that crazy guy on the corner holding the cardboard sign that reads "The Camaro is coming! REPENT!" I knew it was going to happen, even if it is 3 years past my expectations. Guys, I've been following this car very closely, and I hope to bring much good news here about the new Camaro and the Firebird/GTO that will follow shortly thereafter. My sources have told me that the car has been given the green light; they are just hashing out the details of who gets to build it before the info goes public. Of course, I'm just one fanatic. My info could be wrong, but we shall see.
In other news:
I finally have XBOX live again! Now instead of vegetating in front of the tube after I get my daughter to bed, I'll be destroying fellow friends and players on Halo 2 or Conker's BFD (that's all I have that is live so far, hoping to pick up a copy of BF2 soon). If yous guys want to play with me, I'm generally on most nights after 9:00 MST. It's a new profile, so I don't have much of a rank . Jes look for Red Impulse, I'll be around somewhere most likely. Yes that was a plug; quite shameless, too. I'm bored and would like quality people to play with.
My car (2001 Impala LS mod'd) is running much better now; although I do have a rough idle from time to time (probably from taking that MAF screen out. Sure it gives me no problems for a year, until I ship the screen off to someone else. GO FIGURE). Hoping to have a new block to play with soon, so I can start testing some nifty products.
Still working, waiting to hear what they're going to do about my loss of pay and if the contract is going to be renewed. They have until the 28th to give me a final answer on everything. Until then, I'm seeing 100 bucks less (almost to the cent) on my weekly paycheck. More of a reason to stop smoking, I guess. I wish we recorded phone convos here though; I heard my starfish of a coworker call another company employee a 'dumbass' to yet another company employee over the phone. That's grounds for reprimands/termination right there. Oh if only I could've had one of the supers hear that; my life would be much better. This person has been a thorn in my side since I started working here. This person does virtually nothing, but they keep her around for some reason. And office politics being what they are, she'll have a shot at a full-time position before I do. Pluh.
Oh, and I saw that awesome redhead again last night. We were buying coffe at the same time; she seemed preoccupied so I didn't say much. Someone or something please give me the confidence to talk to her, thanks.
So, there's the past couple days in a nutshell. Sometime soon, I'll be expanding on my original article, "Guess I should get this started", for those who are interested in the events that have turned me into...well, me.
